Title
AGREEMENT BETWEEN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY TO PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

Description
After School Programs will provide individual or small group tutoring services to eligible students attending Title I schools not meeting AYP. Tutoring sessions will take place either off-site (libraries, churches, community centers) or in-home, for no less than 1 hour per session.

Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the agreement with After School Programs to provide SES tutoring.

Financial Impact

Sessions are paid at an hourly rate of $60.00 not to exceed $1,122.00 per student for the duration of the agreement. The provider is paid from Title I funds as stipulated in No Child Left Behind.

***The Title I SES Tutoring program is currently in its set up process, based on DOE approved Sarasota provider list and enrollment/ eligibility mailings to parents. Once the providers have obtained executed agreements with parents and district, 310 contracts will be generated based on the providers hourly rate and number of students with completed agreements.
